Climate Change Response Policy

Since separating from SK ecoplant, SK ecoengineering has been building a greenhouse gas management system to establish the foundation for climate change response.
To proactively and voluntarily respond to climate change, we have established a greenhouse gas inventory that includes Scope 1 & 2 and Scope 3 emissions, systematically managing emissions across all areas.
In particular, to proactively respond to domestic and international carbon regulations through fundamental greenhouse gas emission reductions, we have established a "Net Zero by 2040" target for Scope 1 & 2 emissions that aligns with the 1.5℃ scenario, and operate a company-wide implementation system to achieve this goal.
We conduct annual reviews of our performance against established targets, and in 2026, we plan to develop a "Net Zero Roadmap by 2030" that comprehensively considers global environmental trends and the perspectives of key stakeholders including group companies, to pursue a more proactive climate change response strategy.

  1. Scope1(Direct Emissions) : Energy consumption (gasoline, kerosene, diesel, etc.) from stationary combustion (generators, heaters, heating, etc.) and mobile combustion (vehicles, etc.)
  2. Scope2(indirect Emissions) : Externally purchased electricity, heat, and steam
  3. Greenhouse gas emissions have been partially revised due to the reorganization of aggregation standards and organizational boundary adjustments in response to government greenhouse gas regulations.
  4. 2022 is based on domestic sites, while 2023 includes emissions from both domestic and overseas sites.
